Right now I’m obsessed with tiny homes. They can be on foundations, on wheels, on boats! Doesn’t matter. Their diminutive size and portability and thoughtful design have me diving deep into “rabbit holes”. Pinterest, Dwell, Google, you name it. These tiny little homes are taking up a big chunk of my time.

It’s how I unwind and relax. Looking at the kitchens and storage of these little places. I mean, how can you get, what looks like a full-size kitchen, into a 12 x 16 ft area and still have room for a couch, table, and stool? Blows my mind.

This habit started innocently enough. I was looking for a storage solution for a huge (8 ft) wall we have in our kitchen and I thought, “Oh, I’ll look at small houses to see how they handle storage.” And just like that, I became hooked.

One day, I’d love to have a campground of tiny homes nestled in the trees. Maybe about ten to fifteen interspersed between the trees. There would be a lake nearby and hiking trails. Truthfully I have the spot picked out! It abuts a stream and a national park. I envision folks either living there full time who are seasonal employees or for people looking to get away from the city for a long weekend of adventure.

This image cracks me up! It’s like a bus drove through the house! It’s so funny that they built a house around a school bus! I’m so used to seeing school buses converted into homes- this took it one step further! It’s a riot. But it also exemplifies tiny homes- they’re so versatile and break all the molds! I’d love to stumble upon this one! It’s in the pacific northwest. Did someone say “road trip?!?”

Let’s go!
