So, the second night of my meditation practice, I was watching a video of my coach getting on a plane and heading to Bogota Colombia for an undetermined amount of time. She had just spent six months in Mexico and didn’t know where her next stop would be after Bogota. “I wish I could do that,” I thought. “But I can’t, I’ve got a job, kid, and husband.” The next words out of my coach’s mouth were, “I bet you’re thinking you could never do what I’m doing, I thought that once too.” Wait. What? How did she know? That evening, I meditated about how I could travel and used my anchor to bring me back to when my thoughts started to take me on a wild ride. “I expand in abundance, success, and love every day and inspire those closest to me to do the same,”

When I was young, everything I owned fit into a couple of bags, that way when/ if the opportunity to travel came up, I was free to go. I’ve lived in the Caymans and England and France. And from those spots, I would take weekend trips to get away and see new things. It seems so long ago now, a lifetime ago! There are a few places where I feel at peace, at the beach, in the forest, and at the airport just before my plane departs.

I love the hum of the airport, people coming and going, watching couples kiss goodbye, watching grandkids running into their grandparents’ arms to say “hello”. I love the sound of the gate calls and departure warnings. I love the anticipation of what’s to come, the taste of adventure, the feeling of freedom of being in the air! When I get on the plan and buckle in, I love the feeling of handing my life over to someone I’ll never know.

After my meditation session, I went to sleep.

The next morning Michael was filling me in on his evening with work. He told me that his boss said to him that as soon as he builds the Boston market, he may send him out to do it somewhere else. Although he didn’t specify domestic or international, Michael told him that one of our goals is to live somewhere else for four to six months, get immersed in the culture, and homeschool Annika. He told Scott that we’re on board!!!

YES!!!! And there it is folks! A little bit of meditation and Boom! A sign that the Universe is listening.
